“What are we? Humans? Or animals? Or savages?”
― William Golding, Lord of the Flies

ISN Leiden Theatre Club are proud to present: Lord of the Flies.

In the midst of an unspecified nuclear war, evacuated schoolchildren are shot down over a tropical island. This play documents the descent into savagery as the boys have no adult supervision and must find out themselves what happens when social order breaks down.

Who will be the leader?
Will morality or immorality prevail?
Act as a group or individually?

William Golding's Lord of the Flies has been placed as one of the top 100 English-Language novels of all time. It is coming to the Kapelzaal theater in Leiden for just two nights.

The two directors Ilke Canaslan and Alexander Owens have used modern techniques with lighting and props to make this an unforgettable experience.
